take me for a ride*

life is a roller-coa
ster ride. sometimes you're up, sometimes you're down. anywhere you seem to be, it's just part of the entire thrill... the anticipation, the exhilaration and that moment of release.

every chapter in our lives are all just part of that ride. it is really up to us,
up to how we see things if we will enjoy this ride or not.
believe me, even thrill-seekers have days of thrill-me-nots. how we see life is mostly dependent on us. are you turned upside down? maybe. is the ride so darn-fuckin' barfy? maybe. are you that one who can't wait to end the ride? or are you the one who can't wait to line up again
even before the ride is over?
any which way, life is a ride. so ride it... and ride it well. that does not mean you need to enjoy every moment of it, or to pretend that you are enjoying them when you're not. but open your eyes as you're riding.

look up to the heavens when you're up there, it can make you feel you're one with the universe. but also try to look down to everything around you, you will see how small we really are. almost just dusts. look about you when you're down. it can give you comfort knowing you can fall and not get hurt too much. if you invited people to this ride, you will either see smiling faces when you're happy and empathic faces when you're not. if you decided to come alone, then deal with it.

appreciate the ride. appreciate all the chapters, even those that made you throw up even if they're still making you throw-up by sheer memory.

it is the ride that makes you appreciate the ups and the downs of all the chapters in your life. without the downs, how would you know you're already up? if you don't recognize anticipation, how can you understand satisfaction?

ride life, ride it well.

my 10 emerging influential blogs

My bet for The Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs in 2008

These are the bloggers and their blogs that I love to read.
When I have time, that is.

1. The Submission of the Feminist
She writes well and comments on environmental issues and other personal stuff.

2. Pinoy Mountaineer
I love nature. That's why I like reading posts from this blogger. Can't believe somebody has gone to all these mountains. I'm envious.

3. Tonyo Cruz
Tonyo Cruz writes a lot, rather seriously, about Philippine politics. Unlike Professional Heckler, his approach is straight forward, informational, and persuasive, to say the least.

4. Professional Heckler
I love his crisp political/satirical blogs. You read facts about politics and other things, and you still get to laugh on how he twists the angles to tickle your fancy.

5. Travel, Language, Culture

6. Plunging into the unknown
She's funny.

7. Pixeliko
I love his graphics, and also his social comentary.

8. Idolflux
Very showbusiness. But this can be ffun and entertaining on gloomy days.

9. I am Celestial
A life lover. She posts interesting and lifeloving thoughts.

10. Padayon
Makibaka! An interesting community worker's blog.

Coincidence Is Shit.

Who said there is such a thing as coincidence?
Everything in this universe conspires to make happen what is to happen anyway.
Choice just prolongs the actual route, but it eventually takes you there.
Life is a sadist comedian.
Pain is sometimes funny, at least after the needle stings.
The wounds that don't bleed hurts the most.
The love seldom returned loves the most.
The shortest encounters are the most bliss.

And I?
I live irony.
And the cosmic has a hand on it.
